Dear Friends-                                                :

You have been selected as a prominent member of the Colorado and/or Weld County professional community to participate in a gala mask exhibit and benefit sponsored by The Arc of Weld County in  October 2007. The Arc is a grassroots, non-profit organization that advocates for children and adults with disabilities. We would be greatly honored if you would create a mask in any media you choose; the masks may be human representations, animals, logos, scenes, geometric designs, etc.  All are acceptable, and the mask forms will be supplied by us.  You do NOT need to be a professional artist, or even someone familiar with art.  The rules are simple:  THERE ARE NO RULES!!!   JUST HAVE FUN.

Deadline for completing your mask is September 26, 2007.

The masks will be displayed throughout the month of October at the Union Colony Civic Center, Two Rivers Gallery, 701 10^th Avenue, Greeley.  There will be a live auction on Tuesday, October 30, at 6:30 P.M.  All proceeds will go to the advocacy program of The Arc of Weld County.

If you are interested in participating in this fun and worthwhile event, we will send you a mask and instructions.  Please complete the enclosed form.  The only cost to you is for the materials applied to your mask.  The Arc sincerely hopes that you will lend us your support by joining this project or by making a donation.

Be creative and use any media you wish.  Any alternations are acceptable.  If you need suggestions or are interested in mask making lessons, please call The Arc. 

DEADLINE: Your mask must be returned by September 28, 2007, in order to be part of the exhibit and auction.  If you request a mask, we would really appreciate your entry.  If you cannot complete it, please return the mask.
